Dr Anita Green MBBS MSPMED FRACGP FASMF FAICD – Chair
Dr Green was appointed member of the Cancer Council Queensland Board of Councillors in 2009 and has been a Director of Cancer Council Queensland since 2011. She was appointed Chair of the Medical and Scientific Committee in 2018.
Dr Green works at the University of Queensland Health Service (St Lucia Campus) as a general practitioner and is a visiting medical officer at The Prince Charles Hospital in the Cardiac Sciences Unit. She is an experienced medical educator, currently working as a part time Senior Lecturer with the University of Queensland School of Human Movements Studies.
Mr Robert Gregg Bcom (Hons), LLB (Hons), GAICD, F Fin, CA – Deputy Chair
Mr Gregg has been a Director of Cancer Council Queensland since 2018. He has also been a member of the Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee (formerly the Management and Finance Committee) since 2016.
Robert has over 30 years’ experience in the investment banking, private equity and funds management industries in Australia, Asia and South Africa. During this period, he has held senior corporate finance positions with a number of major international investment banks. Robert has particular experience in international investment markets having spent over five years living in Asia and having held a number of directorships of business groups operating in Asia and Europe.
He is currently the joint managing director of a Brisbane based funds management business, managing investment funds with assets in Australia and the United Kingdom. He is the non-executive Chairman of the Armadillo Self Storage Group in the UK. Robert is also Deputy Chairman of the Board of Mercy Super, a corporate superannuation fund for current and former employees of Mercy Partners and other Sisters of Mercy organisations, and their partners.
Robert holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours and a Bachelor of Law with Honours from the University of Queensland. He is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of FINSIA.
Mr Steve Wiltshire
Mr Wiltshire has been a Director of Cancer Council Queensland since 2017. He was also a member of the Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee (formerly the Management and Finance Committee) from 2009 to 2020. Mr Wiltshire was Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee from 2017 to 2020. He was appointed Chair of the Property Advisory Committee in 2020.
Mr Wiltshire is Executive Chairman of HoldenCAPITAL Group since 2014. HoldenCAPITAL is a specialist construction finance consultancy dedicated to the sourcing of debt and equity solutions for developers in addition to managing a boutique Capital Fund providing direct funding to the sector. He has over 44 years’ experience in Banking and Finance specialising in Real Estate finance and advisory disciplines including development, joint ventures, securitisation and syndication. He is also a licenced real estate agent in Queensland.
Mr Wiltshire’s previous roles include Executive Director ANZ Institutional Property Group overseeing the bank’s Queensland and Northern Territory investment and development exposures to its listed and major corporate clients and prior to that he was a Division Director and National Head of Portfolio Management with Macquarie Bank’s Real Estate Investment Group, where he spent 26 years in various senior roles specialising in property advisory and finance.
Professor Karen Becker PhD Qld.UT., GCertHE Deakin, MBA C.Sturt., BBusMgt(HRM) Qld.UT, GAICD
Professor Karen Becker has been a Director of Cancer Council Queensland Board and Chair of the People and Workplace Committee (PWC) since 2019. She was previously a member of the Management and Finance Committee from 2015 to 2016, and then member and Deputy Chair of the People and Workplace Committee from 2016 to 2018.
Karen is the Discipline Leader for Management, and Deputy Head (Research and Engagement) in the USC Business School. She has been researching and teaching the management and development of people in the workplace for over 15 years at three universities. Prior to this, she worked for 12 years in corporate human resource management and consulting roles. Professor Becker is a Graduate Member Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).
Mrs Tricia Schmidt LLB, Grad. Dip LP, GAICD
Mrs Schmidt was appointed as a Director of Cancer Council Queensland in 2019. She is also a member of the Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee.
Tricia is the Senior Partner of MurphySchmidt Solicitors and has over 35 years’ experience as a highly successful litigator and negotiator.
Tricia served for 11 years on the Queensland Law Society Specialist Accreditation Board, with 6 years as Chair. She currently holds the positions of Chair of the Queensland Law Society Professional Conduct Committee and of the QLS Committee of Management. She is Chair of the Legal Practice Committee which involves hearing disciplinary applications against legal practitioners.
Tricia has been a member of numerous Boards including the Paraplegic and Quadriplegic Association of Queensland, the Catholic Education Council, the Appeal Costs Board and the Board of St Joseph’s College, Gregory Terrace. She is a Non-Executive Director of Lexon Insurance Pte Ltd. Tricia is also a guest lecturer at QUT. She holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, is a Queensland Law Society Accredited Specialist (personal injuries law) and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Dr Louise Kelly
Dr Louise Kelly was appointed to the Cancer Council Queensland Board in 2020 and was a member of the Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee from 2017 to 2020. She was appointed Chair of the Marketing Advisory Group in 2020.
Louise is a Senior Lecturer in the QUT Business School, School of Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations. For over a decade Louise has been teaching and researching in the areas of advertising, marketing, charitable donor motivations, millennials, social media and privacy, consumer engagement, and more recently, the impact of digital disruption on marketing practice.
Louise is also a Director of the Lady Musgrave Trust, which is Queensland’s oldest charity, providing accommodation and support for homeless women throughout the state. She is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Mr Ian Rodin BSc (Hons), FCA, GAICD, FIIA, ARCS
Mr Rodin was appointed as a Director of Cancer Council Queensland in May 2020. He has been a member of the Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee since 2019, and was appointed as the Chair in 2020.
Ian is a former partner of Ernst & Young. He retired in 2015. He is a chartered accountant with over 35 years’ experience in both the United Kingdom and Australia. Mr Rodin’s principal practice areas during his last 15 years at Ernst & Young were risk management, internal audit and corporate governance.
Since retiring from Ernst & Young he has been actively involved with a number of board and audit committee roles and his current roles include acting as Chairman of the Audit Committees of Griffith University, the Queensland Audit Office, the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority, the Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water and acting as an External member of Audit Committees for the Institute of Internal Auditors in Australia; the City of the Gold Coast and the Department of State Development, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning.
